Raval

The term “Raval” translates to “an influential landlord” in English. This place is named after Shri Vrishabhanu Maharaj, who was the most influential landlord in the region. The name “Raval” signifies the significance and influence associated with the land.

During the twenty-eighth cycle of the Swet Varaha Kalpa, in the Chaturyugi (four ages) of this cosmic cycle, Lord Krishna manifested his divine incarnation. In this divine play, Shri Radha, along with her divine associates, descended to the earthly realm to participate in the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna. The divine couple, Shri Krishna and Kishori Shri Radha, along with their intimate associates like Vrinda, incarnated in the sacred land of Braj to bestow the joy of divine leelas upon their devotees.

Shri Krishna, the Supreme Lord, took the avatar during this auspicious time, and Shri Radha, with her eternally blissful presence, played a crucial role in this divine manifestation. Shri Radha, being the eternal consort of Lord Krishna, accompanies him in every divine play, showering the nectar of love and bliss upon the devotees.

The divine couple, along with their intimate associates, descended to Braj to share the joy of their divine leelas with their devotees. Raja Suchandra received a boon from Lord Brahma and witnessed the divine manifestation of Shri Vrishabhanu Gop in the form of Vrishabhanupur. His queen, Kalavati, the divine manifestation of Kirtida Gopi, was blessed to be the mother of Shri Radha.

The divine narrative unfolds with the presence of Shri Vrishabhanu Gop and his consort Kirtida Gopi, who, in their divine roles, contribute to the enchanting leelas of Shri Radha and Krishna. Shri Radha, born as the daughter of Raja Vrishabhanu and Queen Kirtida, became the epitome of divine love and devotion.

The divine play of Shri Krishna and Shri Radha, along with their intimate associates, transcends the earthly realms and touches the hearts of the devotees. The name “Raval” not only signifies the influential landlord but also resonates with the divine presence and sacred leelas that unfolded in this blessed land. The divine love story of Shri Radha and Krishna, enriched by the spiritual contributions of Raja Vrishabhanu and Queen Kirtida, continues to captivate the hearts of devotees, making Raval a place of eternal significance in the realm of Braj.
